I am very excited to let you all know that the Lake Telemark Community Club officially signed a contract for a year-round lake management plan with Solitude Lake Management. Specifics regarding this plan can be viewed here.
A biologist, specializing in lake management, will be coming to our lake twice a month to conduct assessments and provide treatments as needed.
Safety is our #1 concern and any herbicidal treatments that will be applied to our lake will absolutely be thoroughly researched and EPA approved.
Anytime that a treatment is applied to the lake, we will give all residents notice beforehand and signs will be posted around the neighborhood by Solitude to inform residents.
Last week the 1st assessment was done on the lake. Each month we will share these reports via email update. Here are the results of the first survey report:
Having concrete data from these lake assessments will be so beneficial in tracking the health of our lake as we work towards making it a cleaner and safer environment for us all.
We are getting ready to do the first lake treatment very soon, the only thing we are waiting on is the standard permit needed for the use of herbicides.
I will be sending out more information shortly on specific dates of treatment and which aquatic herbicides will be used.
